God calls us to encourage one another and build one another up (1 Thessalonians 5:11). This is best done by connecting with one another in fellowship and worship, through ministry, and outside church walls. We make a point to call on our recent and long-term visitors and our sick and shut-ins on a regular basis.
Sunday School (9:45am)
The purpose of this class is to encourage and equip each other to spread Jesus’ teachings.
We start class by connecting with God through praising the Lord for what He is doing in each of our lives, and connecting with each other by praying for trials that we are facing. Lessons are selected with much prayer and with the intention of offering encouragement, and knowledge on spreading Jesus’ teachings. Open discussions and multimedia presentations are used to encourage class participation.
Together we grow deeper in knowledge and love for Christ.
Bible Study & Prayer
A midweek refresher! Adults unite with other believers in prayer and to study the word of God.
Prayer is the greatest need of us all, and the greatest power. It is for this reason, we spend half of our time together on Wednesday evenings in prayer and the other half in study. We pray together over personal needs, church ministries, missionaries, the community, our nation…and anything laid on a person’s heart.
A short Bible lesson is given in great depth with attendee participation. Study topics are guided by the need of the congregation at the time, and our time together is designed to offer midweek encouragement.
This group selects their own topics of study true to the Word and meets regularly to connect and encourage one another in their day-to-day walk with Christ. The informal nature of the group allows us to know each other on a deeper level and gives us opportunities to serve as a group in the church.
Secret Prayer Sisters
Sisters Prayer Sisters is intended to help the women in the church get to know and encourage one another throughout the year. The desire is to live out Paul’s exhortation in Gal 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Women in the church draw a name of another participating sister, and secretly pray for them and send discreet notes of encouragement throughout the year. In February, we come together to connect, reveal our secret sister for the year and draw for the coming year.
